After 10 years of owning my own shop I decide to retire when my husband retired. So I closed my shop and now am teaching classes at local quilt shops or come to your home. My fees are listed in the classes I teach page.
I have been sewing since I was 12. Have made countless items for myself, my daughters, husband, son in law and family. My biggest challenge and thrill was making my oldest daughter wedding dress along with the Bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. My biggest thrill for my youngest daughter was her Senior Prom dress.
In 1992 I went back to school and receive a A.A. in Fashion and Retail Marketing in 1994 from Olympic Community College in Bremerton, Washington. After retiring from the phone company in 2001 I opened A Quilters Dream in 2002. My first store was 750 square feet then in 2004 I moved to a 1500 square foot store then on 2007 I moved to 2500 square foot store.
While I enjoyed my shop more than anything it was time for me and my husband to spend time together, spend time with he grandsons and their parents and ride the motorcycle. I will miss my customers, picking out fabric and seeing all the newest notions.
